Dermal needle (also called Plum Blossom Shaped or Seven-Star needle) treatment is one part of the Chinese sciences of acupuncture.
The therapy with dermal needles is based on meridian therapy. It is applied by tapping many short needles to lightly pierce certain parts of the human body, using our wrist with quick and vertical taps. The skin and organs are linked by meridians, and after piercing at acupoint and positive areas, the body can adjust to the outside differences and so enhance the immune system. The therapy with seven-star needles can be shown in the following areas: it activates blood circulation and relieves from pain, balances between Yin and Yang, relieves the stretched muscles and eliminates bruises and hematomas, cleans the skin, expels toxins and promotes the Qi flow and blood circulation.
